Bile duct injury remains a serious and potentially life-altering complication following cholecystectomy, whether performed laparoscopically or via an open approach. Management requires a highly specialized and systematic strategy, as both the timing of intervention and the choice of reconstructive technique critically influence long-term outcomes and overall prognosis.
In this lecture, we will examine bile duct reconstruction from the perspective of a hepatobiliary surgeon.
